Customer Review: LOVE IT!
I was replacing my sony cybershot and needed a camera that didn’t take “fuzzy” pics. This is the ONE…close ups, great zoom, multi-shots of a series…it is phenomenal. And So cute!! You won’t be disappointed!
Customer Review: Lots of great features in a small package!
This is a great camera for anyone who wants to take great, high resolution pictures, but doesn’t want to have to fuss with a lot camera controls to do it. It does give you lots of control if you want it, but it takes great pictures using the auto setting. It also has great zoom capabilities — 4x optical/4x digital — so the resolution is great. Finally, I bought it so I wouldn’t have to lug my camcorder on vacation. This little guy takes great video on the fly. The video output is in *.mov format, which can be viewed with Quicktime or imported directly into iTunes. You can also use any video editing software to import the video and make movies. It’s a small camera, so can fit in a shirt pocket, but personally it’s a little big for me to put in my pants pocket.

Customer Review: Bad customer service
Beware: Bargain Cell has poor (meaning rude, arrogant and unhelpful) customer service. Be prepared to wait a good week for your order to arrive - and for them to patronize and not assist if that is too late for your needs.
I paid more here for this charger b/c of Amazon’s reliable reputation and didn’t realize this purchase is purely sub-contracted to Bargain Cell, who are awful. I’ll be sure to never buy from them again and will research to see if I’m actually buying from Amazon or someone else in the future.
Customer Review: BEWARE THE BUNDLES-READ CLOSELY
Don’t know whether to blame Amazon or Vendor, but when you click on the bundle option you get a charger and battery that don’t match!! Yes I am at fault for not noticing it was an NP-40 charger and an NP-20 battery, but jeez, why in the world would you even offer a bundle of incompatible products?? Square peg, round hole, folks.

Customer Review: Maria in NY

Not much to say, a battery is a battery, but when it come to pricing, you can’t beat this price. Priced it through several stores in the NY area, $40.00 dollars compare to the $6.00- even with shipping, it wasn’t even close. I wanted to purchase more than one but for an item this small, individual shipping charges are a little hard to swollow since both are coming from the same company. Shipping cost are more than the item itself, but still a good buy.
Customer Review: Good value rechargeable battery
I have been searching for good value extra Lithium Ion battery for my Casio Camera. I got but burned once by buying the cheap alternatives which did not last long and almost damaged the camera as the battery expanded and will not charge with less than one year. I bought an expensive one the Duracel version for Casio Np-20 and this one. Had I found this battery from Adorama first then probably I will not buy the Duracell. The charge last as long and only time will tell, maybe after one year which one would keep the charge longer and stay longer. I am very satisfied with the fast processing and delivery of my order.

I was a little nervous about buying a “generic” battery for my camera, but I thought that for $4 I had nothing to lose. Boy I was wrong, this one turned out to be even better than the original battery (which sells for more than 5 times the price of this one). Customer Review: …the best digital point-and-shoot I ever had.
I owned several cameras, film and digital, and this is by far the best digital point-and-shoot I ever had. I have to admit that it took me a long time to decide on buying a Casio as opposed to Cannon, Nikon, or Pentax, as I had very good experience with those.
However my wife was supposed to be the main user of this new camera, so when she saw it in a store, she was sold on it, as the camera is very small and very good looking. She loved the green one (which is is actually a greenish yellow) so we paid $10 more than the black one and got it.
To me it took a lot more to be convinced, so here is my point of view on it:
Pros:
- Very good quality of the pictures (the auto focus works great and the multi point metering system takes care nicely of most situations, including some more difficult shots (like high contrast, back lit subjects, moving subjects, etc)
- I love that you can easily switch between standard format (1.33 ratio), film format (3:2 ratio), or wide screen (16:9 format).
- Metal body, makes the camera fill solid and you can have a good grip and stability.
- Easy to switch between different menus like changing formats, flash modes, ISO sensitivity, different self timer settings, shooting modes (like single, continuous, etc), auto shutter, and face recognition modes.
- Although I consider face recognition a gimmick and I never use it in real life, I did try it and surprisingly works very well! Not only the camera will find and focus on the face, but you can set also the Auto-Shutter to take the picture only when the subject smiles. There is even more: you can record several faces in the camera’s internal memory, and when those people are in a larger group, the camera will find their faces and focus on them, so they come out the best! I tried the freakish feature and it works!!!
Also, it has other many Auto-Shooting features, that some people might want, I tried them, they work but, I don’t normally need most of them.
- The movie recording quality is very good. I set it to wide screen and the highest quality and it is exceptionally good, I say at least like a DVD (also it does record sound very well, with no significant camera’s own noise).
- It has its own movie recording button, so you do not need to go though any settings in order to start filming. You push the trigger on top, you take pictures, or if you push the trigger on the back side, you are filming (push again to stop). It can not get any simpler or faster.
- If you don’t like to mingle with settings, you may find the “Best Shot” setting very simple and useful. You click the “BS” button (funny name… ;-), and you get a bunch of sample photos. Use the left-right-up-down buttons to navigate to the picture that is similar to what you are shooting, push OK, and the camera sets itself up for that type of picture (like flowers, portrait, self portrait, sports, night scenes etc, etc).
- I love the burst shooting mode (aka CS - Continuous Shooting), which has several settings:
CS - shoots pictures at the quality you set as fast as possible;
CS-FAST shoots lower resolution pictures and saves them to the internal memory. I got about 4 to 5 pictures per second in this mode, and the quality is good enough to print 5×7″ pictures. This is a life saver when your kid shakes hands with the principal of the school, when they make a karate jump, or when they throw that ball. Normally you push the trigger and hope the camera takes the picture at the right time. With this, you push the trigger a little earlier, hold it until the kid is through, and before you know it you have a series of pictures taken at short intervals of each other, so your chances are a lot better to find one that shows what you want to see.
- Used with a 4GB SDHC memory card, my wife took literary hundreds of pictures and filmed many minutes of movie during a recent trip before she had to transfer them to the computer. She did that only several times during the 3 weeks trip.
- Also, one charge of the battery lasted for several days. In fact she did not charge it until, into the four or fifth day of the trip, the low battery message came on.
Negatives:
None so important to give anything lower than a five star rating.
- I would have liked a “shorter” focal length on the close end, so that you can have a wider view as sometimes there is not enough room to get away from larger groups of people. However most of the cameras have this focal lengths, so this is just a wish with small point and shoot cameras.
All being said, I love this little camera.

Customer Review: Amazing Video Quality!
This camera has amazing video quality in a very small package. I think the picture quality suffers a little due to its small size. I’ve taken pictures out in the brightest of days, only to find out that the picture turns out very dark. Also for 8.1MP you expect a 8×6 print to be free of any graininess, but if you look closely enough they’re right there.

The battery life is nothing to scream about, and costs about $50 to find a spare battery.

Overall the camera looks great, and is one of the smallest cameras for this resolution. But to be honest this is a clear example of form over substance. Casio could have done much better with image quality on this one.

I guess if you’re looking for a great video camera to carry around in your pocket, and are willing to shell out another 50 bucks for the battery, this one is for you.

Customer Review: Amazing Technology
I’ve taken jillions of great pictures with my little Exilim….It’s good for everything from macro to landscapes. And being able to take lots of nice little movies with good sound is a huge plus. And mine is one of the first models out without modern refinements like anti-shake.

I’ve gotten it wet, I’ve turned it off and on jillions of times… it just keeps on taking good pictures.
Customer Review: Get an Extended Warranty or you might as well throw it away
I bought my camera in July 2007 and LOVED it…awesome photos, simple to use, fast shutter speed, etc. I am a trained photographer but wanted a small camera to take with me on trips and to parties, etc., and the size and price was fantastic…SOLD! For once, I did not get an extended warranty, and that was my biggest mistake.

In October 2007, I took the camera to a friend’s wedding and it suddenly turned itself off, with the lens still partially out, halfway through the reception. I figured I must have not charged the battery enough, and placed it back in its case to take home, disappointed I only got about a dozen photos from the wedding.

Upon charging the battery, I realized the camera had died, so I dug out the box and called Casio. I then went through a relay to get the camera shipped out for service…three feet of bubble wrap and Express Mail, for starters. Three weeks later, I got a letter in the mail demanding over $100 for repairs, or a “ransom” of a small amount of money to get it back, unusable. If I did not respond promptly, I would never see my little camera again. So I called and talked with someone, who said they hadn’t actually looked at it yet (how did they know how much to charge then??) Another person got on the phone (a “tech”) and informed me I must have dropped the camera because there was severe damage to the outer lens. Uhm, no. After “negotiating” for two weeks, I was able to reduce the “fix fee” to about $80 with shipping and “service.” I figured this was better than out and out buying a new camera (they have since gone down in price, ironically enough). I got the camera back over a month later and have used it sparingly, since my job requires a “fancier” model. Two days ago I tried to turn it on to view photos…and…nothing. It’s dead, again. It is NEVER removed from its case unless it’s in use, I store it in a fireproof/dirtproof container, and I have maybe taken 10 photos on it since I received it back in December…it’s NEVER EVER been dropped, scratched, bumped. I also am the only one who’s ever taken photos with it.

Clearly, this is a lemon, and there is no way I’m going to get Casio to repair it again…and even if they agreed, I have already essentially bought this camera one and a half times over. The sad part is, I really love this camera and did not intend to buy another point and click for some time. I do not think every version of this camera is a lemon (and let’s face it…they happen), but I will definitely think twice before contacting Casio customer “service” again.

Two lessons learned:

1. Buy the extended warranty.
2. If you must send it in for repair, borrow a camera and take closeups of it before shipping it off; otherwise you will be blatantly accused of negligence, no matter how much you baby your property, like I do.

I recently purchased this camera case for my Casio EX-S770 as I unfortunately lost the original case that came with the camera. I loved that original case and this replacement is a very close second. The camera fits very snuggly in the case and I like the fact that I can carry an extra memory card or two. A great value!
Customer Review: Great Case
This product is great! Even better than the last one I bought. It not only has a pocket it’s got two additional slots for the memory cards.

Customer Review: Just what I wanted
The battery was just what my camera needed. It works perfectly and takes a charge. I couldn’t be happier!
Customer Review: I don’t think so…

Are you kidding me? Over $100 for this?

The whole camera outfit is only a few dollars more.

2 Generics for $8 worked for me.

Also, batteries on my older Casio lasted forever, and was able to take more pics per charge.
