This is a good camera especially for the price. Image quality does suffer a bit from the price and I don’t like the proprietary cord connections. The charger is proprietary and the data cable to download the pictures is. In this day and age, I think most if not all digital cameras should use standard mini USB cables. Nevertheless, I give it a 4 out of 5.

So this is the second time I’ve owned a digital camera. My first one was a cannon, and I was seriously disappointed in it, but since I didn’t shop around for a new one until recently, I suffered with it.
I did some research, looked around, asked friend who were professional photographers as to what I should use for a basic digital camera. When I brought up the Samsung NV models, they all had wonderful responses. One of my friends even said, “It’s a pro camera without the price.”
After I looked around and came accross some reviews that were mostly positive, I decided I would get it.
I’m definately not disappointed. This camera takes AMAZING photos and without the flash, they’re still clear, crisp and have great natural lighting.
I would reccomend this camera to anyone I know, knowing I would not be letting them down!!!

This product is not reccommended. Within the first 8 pictures the battery was exhausted. Picture quality also left a lot to be desired. I would definitely suggest a different selection for a low to mid level solution for a digital camera.

Great camera
I bought this as a gift to my daughter. She can’t stop shooting with it. The photos are great and so are the videos.

Nice camera, my only complain is the LCD, is not scratching proof, actually keeps getting scrath even with normal use, is bad quality, for instance with the same treatment mi IPOD screen is flawless, if you buy it make sure to have an screen protection film or something otherwise you will regret it.

Great camera!
This is a great camera! Its very quick unlike most digital cameras. I’m a designer and us the pictures for advertising. The images are clear and even the movie capture is great quality!

We find this camera easy to use. We were looking for a camera with alot of optical zoom and this one definitely has it. We’ve used a couple of different settings and it performed well. A couple of things - we wish the camera had a view finder and we would have liked a wrist strap. But overall, we are very satisfied.

A Great Little Camera , with alot of Features !
I Saw this Camera walking the Streets of NYC at a Camera Shop and Fell in Love with it ! I have Been a Film Guy for Years and Just Purchased a Digital Camera a Year and A half ago , so this digital Stuff is All New to Me . I have Made My living with a Camera and My Cameras were always Canon . I used Canon A-1s up till a Year Ago, Could No longer Buy the Film I use ,So I Bought a Canon D-20 , its a Great Camera, I Do things with Digital I Couldnt Get Away with on Film ,But its a Big Camera and sometimes , I dont Feel Like Loading all the Gear . Camera Bag , Lens and so Forth , thats were this Camera Comes in ! The Reason I Bought this was so I can Always Have a Camera on Me at All Times , The Best Shots Always Happen When You Dont Have A Camera on You! Happens Everytime !Now I Have seen some People Saying this or that , You have to look at the Facts , 1st it is What it is , Meaning its in between A Point and Shoot And A SLR Camera , there is a Trade off for Everything , Here You Get Alot of Camera in A small package .Some Examples of this , It has a Manual Mode , I use this Just Like A 35mm Film Camera , I love that and You can Set the ISO like on a Film Camera , Now also the Lens is Equal to Lens from 36mm to 432mm ! This gives You A Wide Angle Lens 36mm ,a Standard Lens 50mm , A Portrait Lens 100mm , A Telephoto Lens 200mm And a 300mm and 400mm Telephoto Lens , All On one Camera ! Think if You had to Carry all That ! I usually Do ! Now with a 4GB SDHC Card You Get About 768 Pictures ! Thats 21 Rolls of 36 exp Film !Have You Carryed 21 Rolls of Film or Tryed Loading a Roll of Film in Cold Weather ? I Have , its not Fun to Be in the Middle of a Shoot and You Run Out of Film ! Also The savings alone of Not Buying Film anymore Will Pay For The Camera . A sad husband - bought the Powershot 950 over G9
I loved everything about this Camera. I tried it out in the shop and liked everything: the feel, the flexibility, the large LCD, and even the umm.. ‘utilitarian’ look that’s reminiscent of the range finder of yester years.

However, my better half took one look at it and said. “boy it is ugly, and I only need something that’s point-n-shoot”.

So, in the end, I have to give up all the good points about G9 and ended up buying a powershot 950.
